Our Friction-meter was developed to measure the friction developed on a structural boundary.  The tool has been used to measure the shear stress:

  • between a model pile and the surrounding soil.
  • at the boundary of model test box.
  • at the boundaries of a large prismatic consolidometer.

The tool may be used in a uni-directional version and a dual directional version.
